A unique and charming addition to any collection, these decorative glass marbles are made in Mexico by Vacor for House of Marbles and crafted from high-quality materials. They are also associated with happiness and cheerfulness, as their bright colors and cheerful blooms are a sure sign that spring has arrived. There are 4 different color combinations in this set: white base with orange flowers, blue base with yellow flowers, green base with white flowers, and red base with lilac flowers. (House of Marbles calls it red but it looks like a deep purple or wine color to us.) With their intricate design and rich colors, our Crocus Marbles are a tribute to the beauty and resilience of nature. Crocus are a sure sign of thawing soil, dotting the landscape as the days get a little longer each day. Picture the warm sunshine on your skin on a cool early Spring day. That’s what glancing into one of these marbles feels like! Whether you are a collector of decorative marbles or simply looking for a fun and playful accessory to brighten up your space, these gorgeous marbles are a perfect choice. Each hand made marble may display a “punt” or “pontil” mark that indicates it is an individually crafted art glass marble blown freehand. This small mark is an indication of the individually crafted art glass manufacturing process, it is not a flaw or damage. Because each one is handmade, no two marbles of a given pattern will be exactly the same. **These marbles were designed by an artist and then made by different artists, so they are not attributable to any one person but they are handmade. Images are representative of selection. Each marble is a unique glass orb. No two marbles are exactly alike. Please be aware that marbles are very difficult to photograph and due to differences in personal settings on computers and hand-held devices the colors you see may vary slightly from the color you receive. Lighting such as flash photography can greatly affect the look of a marble as can holding the marble under different types of lighting can make the color look slightly different. We do our absolute best to represent our marbles accurately and true to color, but even the best photography will not display as 100% perfect. Also very useful in Design Mosiacs and Craft Projects, decorating Water Fountains or for accents in Fish Aquariums. Mega Marbles and Collectible Shapes create atmospheres of simple, yet subtle sophistication. In order to get an idea of how many of these 16mm marbles you would need to fill a vase, we measured them in a standard 8 ounce measuring cup. One cup holds approximately 80 of the marbles. Using the same measuring cup, simply fill it with water, pour the water into your vase and see how many cups it takes to fill the vase to the level you would want the marbles to fill. Then multiply the amount of cups by 80 marbles. The vase in our picture holds 3 cups of water, therefore it took 240 marbles to fill it to the level we wanted – not quite to the top. The sky is the limit for decorating ideas when using these gorgeous, brilliantly colored little spheres!! Images are representative of selection. Each marble is a unique glass orb. This size marble may sometimes have creases or cold rolled marks. They are usually not as smooth as the smaller size marbles. Our large marbles may have creases or cold rolled marks. Machine made marbles are made by rolling molten glass with various colors. In larger sizes roll marks from this process may sometimes be seen as part of the normal making process. If it is a cold roll mark (smooth not sharp edges), most consider that as-made and it would fall in the mint category.
