This pack of 5 “Leopard” 16mm (5/8th inch), player marbles are crafted with a base of rich, Opaque orange glass which is lightly to heavily speckled with opaque black then covered with a lovely Iridescent finish. They are an exceptional Estate discovery that we were fortunate to find. The box had never been opened and included an invoice from Mega Marbles by Vacor dated in the early 2000’s. Known as “First Year” marbles, they are generally the best quality and colors available. The glass used to make them was of a higher quality than subsequent years. These marbles are highly sought after as collectibles, very hard to find and will surely create a conversation whenever used or displayed! Our quantities are very limited. **You can find our display stands in a variety of quantities and sizes in our eBay store. While each batch of marbles can be slightly different depending on the glass used to make them, there are other variables such as the temperature of the glass when put in the machine, the temperature of the machine, and the ambient air temperature that will affect the final product. These factors can make the colors on the marbles vary slightly from batch to batch. For instance if you order red marbles some of them may be dark red and the next batch be a lighter red. Sometimes we try to take pictures of a variety of marbles of the same color if they appear to have any slight differences that we feel should be noted. These lovely, 16mm “Sloth” player marbles come in packs of 50. Solid Opaque Tan base with overlay lines of Brown and Green Swirls, this marble has a camouflage look. Each marble is slightly different, the colors can be slightly lighter or darker. Marbles are notoriously hard to photograph and different monitors can reflect the colors in different ways. In order to get an idea of how many of these 16mm marbles you would need to fill a vase, we measured them in a standard 8 ounce measuring cup. One cup holds approximately 80 of the marbles. Using the same measuring cup, simply fill it with water, pour the water into your vase and see how many cups it takes to fill the vase to the level you would want the marbles to fill. Then multiply the amount of cups by 80 marbles. The vase in our picture holds 3 cups of water, therefore it took 240 marbles to fill it to the level we wanted – not quite to the top.
