Single 35mm Lion Clear Glass Sulphide Contemporary Marble Netherlands Hand Paint

These fascinating, contemporary sulphide marbles are sparkling clear with a hand painted “Lion” inside. Known as the King of Beasts, each Regal, Big Cat marble measures 35mm (1.4 inches) in diameter and was made in the tradition of the old Sulphide marbles. They are listed here individually. Sulphides, or figure marbles, were originally made in Germany from the mid-19th century up until the 1930s. They always featured a figure encased in the center of the marble, which early collectors mistakenly thought was made from sulfur, but they were most often made of porcelain. These marbles, however, were made in the Netherlands by Hans Zandvliet of Magic Marble Productions B.V. and are from the 3D TOPSHOTS Collection. These are a new generation of glass marbles, made in the 2000’s, with a 3D object inside. Popular characters that kids like can be put into the clear marble balls. The value of these marbles will only rise as time goes by, so don’t miss out on this unique, exclusive collectible! These are discontinued and no longer being made. The factory is closed and the marbles that had been made were put into storage. Our quantity is extremely limited! The manufacturer was only in business a few years and struggled with getting the marbles perfect, with natural disasters (his warehouse flooded) and with keeping costs down. On some of the marbles there are cold roll marks, and some have small bubbles in them. We will pick out the best one that we have to send to you.
