Considering the fact most are over 100 years old I do allow some slight imperfections. All identification is based on my collecting and experience over the past 50 years. I’ve always said you can show the same marble to four different collectors and have four different ID’s and opinions. I do my best. BE ADVISED !!! There are sellers that use misleading descriptions and buzz words for marbles like, Oxblood, Guinea and Submarine to increase the value of the marble. They simply add a disclaimer that they are not experts which is an easy outlet to mis-guide buyers. I’ve seen $1 marbles selling for $45.
