Vtg. Handmade German Banded Lutz Marble 7/8” c.1850-1920
Vtg Handmade German Banded Lutz Marble 7/8” c. 1850-1920 This German Lutz marble is in good condition with what I believe is a factory flaw. It has both pontils, surface rippling, and deep blue ribbons with original surface. The blue ribbon runs through the flat spot, so it is the consensus of myself and others that the flat spot was created when the glass was still hot. The edge of the flat spot is slightly raised like it was pushed flat. I believe it is a factory flaw, but you buy it for what you think it is. Please refer to the photos for further description.
