Diana of Versailles, 1980s Marble

Alabaster sculpture depicting the figure of the Greek goddess of the hunt Diana in a short chiton with a bow and a quiver of arrows. In the company of a deer Sculpture made on the basis of an ancient Greek bronze original, the so-called "Diana of Versailles", which is now in the Louvre/Paris, the gallery of the Caryatids. The marble statue itself is a Roman copy (1st or 2nd century AD) of a lost Greek original made of bronz. Very Good condition. This vintage/antique item has no defects, but it may show slight traces of use.
